I can't believe it's December already! This is my favorite time of year, besides maybe May, because of spring and my birthday. In my previous blog post I mentioned that Cameron and I put up our holiday decorations. We've been slowly decorating the tree. Both in an effort to prolong the process and also because we have been so busy that we haven't had a good chunk of time to put on all of the ornaments. The apartment doesn't look too much different than last year, except that we did add another dimension of cat crazy, the cat tower. It's doubling as a Christmas tree platform for our little guy this year and come Sunday when I host my second annual holiday party, it will be the stand for presents. Notice that Riley is using his cat shelves though, so that's good.
It's been getting chilly here, finally, so I've been doing some more cooking. Nothing blog-post worthy so far, but delicious banana bread, crockpot beef stew and lots of roasted winter veggies have been on the menu lately. I have some wonderful farmers market rosemary that is just begging to be used in my rosemary shortbread cookies so those will probably show up on the blog before too long. Tonight I'm trying a recipe that I found on Pinterest for cheesy veggie soup. Seems easy enough and has some great reviews.
I also want to share a little about what Cameron and I were up to this past weekend, but work is beckoning so it will just have to wait 'til tomorrow (or maybe Wednesday).
Stay tuned...
