On Thursday afternoon we hit the road bound for Virginia Beach for a long overdue visit with Alex. As we pulled onto his street Cameron began scouting house numbers, but I immediately spotted the driveway with all the toys and knew we were in the right place. Always the adventurer, Alex took us in his topless/doorless Jeep down to a beach bar and introduced us to the local drink, Orange Crush. It's a deliciously dangerous cocktail made with fresh squeezed orange juice, mandarin vodka and triple sec. A few of those and I was understanding the double meaning of the name. Needless to say, I had an early night while the boys hung out by the fire pit in the backyard. The next morning Alex knew exactly how to chase away my hangover and get me fully awake, a ride on his super fast motorcycle. Good times!
After another five hours on the road, we arrived in Pennsylvania and got straight into the wedding festivities with the rehearsal and rehearsal dinner. Saturday was a gorgeous warm fall day with absolutely clear blue skies. The afternoon wedding ceremony at St. Patrick's Church in Malvern was beautiful and that Management Communications class that Cameron is taking was put to work as he was asked to give a reading during the wedding ceremony. The happy couple celebrated with family and friends at The Farmhouse at People's Light and Theater and again, everything was magnificent. They are off to Disney for their honeymoon and we wish them well!
