We are back home in Durham, NC and working hard to regain some semblance of a routine. The holidays were wonderful, magical and full of great friends and loving family. It was nice to be home and reconnect with everyone that we've been away from for so long. The second half of 2010 was somewhat of a whirlwind, to say the least. Unwinding with family and ringing in the New Year in the company of the best and closest friends at Nick and Lindsay's New Year's Eve Wedding was... *well words can't quite describe it*. We came back to NC recharged, re-energized, and ready to make 2011 the best year ever!
First, thank God I took down my Christmas decorations before we left town December 23rd. And, I did something very smart, if I do say so myself. I hung up all of my Christmas cards where my tree used to be. It went from this:
to this:
Even though we are far from "home", that wall makes me feel like friends in family surround us no matter where we are.
I've posted most of the wedding pictures to Facebook, but for those that aren't a member, here are a couple of highlights:
I didn't take a lot of holiday pictures. Probably because I spent a lot of time avoiding cameras while I roamed around in pajamas and slippers. My idea of the perfect vacation. I did snap a funny, "One of These Things is Not Like the Other" photo:
I have a lot of 2011 goals, resolutions, ideas, etc. and can't wait to share them with my readers. The next blog post will likely be a guest post from Cameron, but I think I said that last time and we are still waiting. Yes, we includes me. I don't want to pester him, but I think he'd enjoy guest blogging and I know that all of you would enjoy hearing from him. *Fingers Crossed*
